What was a deciding factor in coming to coach at CAL?  The CAL job has always been a job I believed that would give me the best opportunity to build a championship program. Getting to coach against CAL over the years and working with players from CAL, I always noticed something different about the way they carried themselves on and off the field. This job was always one I said if it opened up, I would go after because I feel it is one I can have the most impact with student athletes on and off the field and have the most impact in the community.

What is your vision for the CAL baseball program?  I'm excited for the future of CAL Baseball. My vision for the CAL baseball program is to build strong men of faith and character by using the game of baseball to teach valuable life lessons that they can use in their adult lives. We will compete at a very high level this year and for many years to come. The young men that will compete this year will be the foundation that we will build off of, allowing CAL baseball to become an attractive option for young men around the area that fit the values and beliefs of CAL. I look forward to building a program that starts in the middle school levels and will eventually turn into our high school players. I want people in the community to see our program and say there is something different about the way they do things on and off the field and say, 'I want to learn more about what that something is'.

What do you look forward to most this year?  I'm most excited to get to know the players and their families and to start building relationships that hopefully will continue long after the student athlete and family have moved on from CAL.
