December has arrived!

Dear Parents,

December has arrived! The next two weeks will be packed with activities and before we know it Christmas Day will be here. I encourage you to keep conversations about gratefulness alive in your home.  An attitude of gratitude keeps our tendency toward self in balance during this time of year when it is so easy for children (and adults) to focus elsewhere. As I read Psalms 145 this morning I prayed for Rock Creek parents and thought how this is an excellent chapter for parenting guidelines. I urge you to read it, particularly noticing verses 4 and 5: One generation will commend God’s works to another and will tell of His mighty acts. They will speak of the glorious splendor of His majesty and will meditate on His wonderful works. (“Slightly” paraphrased by me). My prayer is that your families seek and more focus on the splendor of His majesty, sharing time in God’s word during this Christmas season.

Important Dates to Note
