If the weather is questionable or the field is unsafe, we will make that decision by 3 p.m., Thursday afternoon.

What to wear? Students MUST wear uniform bottoms (shorts, pants or skort) and shirt the color that is assigned to that grade. Uniform shirts, CAL t-shirt and solid shirts are all acceptable for field day. Tennis shoes are required and hats are allowed ONLY outside during Field Day time. Remember SUNSCREEN!

Assigned shirts colors:

Kindergarten - red       3rd Grade - red
1st Grade - white  4th Grade - white
2nd Grade - blue  5th Grade - blue

Lunch? Each child needs to bring their own sack lunch. The cafeteria will not be serving lunch that day for elementary students. Also your child’s class will not be eating in the cafeteria. If you would like to eat lunch with your child please check with the classroom teacher to see what she has planned for lunch. Even if it rains, students will need to bring a sack lunch.

Drinks? Please send a disposable water bottle with your child and don’t forget to write their name on it!

Visitors? We encourage you to come experience Field Day with your child. You can walk around to the stations with your child. Students will be free to visit each station at their own pace, similar to senior carnival. They will not need to bring money for any activity. Siblings are welcome to come but cannot participate…Field Day is for elementary students ONLY!!!

Signing your student out? If you would like to take your child home straight from Field Day, the sign out sheet will be with Mrs. Kerns at the water station. If your child is going home with another person you MUST send a note with your child stating that they are allowed to go home with that adult.
