Performing Arts

"Praise him with the sounding of the trumpet, praise him with the harp and lyre, praise him with timbrel and dancing, praise him with the strings and pipe, praise him with the clash of cymbals, praise him with resounding cymbals. Let everything that has breath praise the Lord. Praise the Lord!" -  Psalm 150:3-6

1998 | The Christian Academy of Louisville English Station campus opened with enormous student enrollment growth. Mr. Tim Greener was hired to become the Christian Academy of Louisville High School principal, and he had a bold vision: providing academically superior Christian education and the creation of a School of Fine Arts. Internal strategic planning began to develop a framework to achieve both of these goals.

2003 | After several years of prayerful discernment, planning and research, Mr. Matt Wooten was hired to bring the bold vision of a School of Fine Arts to life. At that time, fine arts classes had fewer than 20 students participating in choir, band and orchestra.

2004-2008 | Through the critical development years, focus was placed on building core strengths and feeder programs to support the anticipated creation of the School of Fine Arts.

2013 | As a result of the generous support of our staff, families and community, the Fine Arts expansion of additional classroom, practice and performance areas is completed. By investing in the artistic abilities of future generations of Christian performers and artists, we are part of the joy and delight brought to God and others through artistic expression of praise, worship and love for the Lord.
