CAL students have the opportunity every year to take a trip to Nicaragua. There, the most common take away is a sense of contentment and a newfound appreciation for the things they possess. Students see the contentedness of the people they serve while providing food, sharing the gospel, and giving medical care to the impoverished citizens of the villages surrounding Metanoia Missions Orphanage. Through sharing the love of Christ and fulfilling the command to care for the widows and orphans, students find a deeper faith and experience Christ in a completely unique and amazing way as He provides for the needs of His children. The effects of the trip extend past the mission work done and come home with the student who is more content and conscientious then before seeing the love of God in action.
The following is a video that captures the experience of students who served on the 2014 team.
