One of the ways we help students develop their God-given purpose is through serving those in need. English Station Middle School and Christian Academy of Indiana Elementary School participated in the Pennies for Patients program through the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, raising money for youth cancer research and support services for patients and families. For the month of February, Indiana raised $5,614.06 and English Station raised $14,892, the most money raised from a school since the program’s inception in the Kentucky and Southern Indiana Chapter.
Since the month of February it's been announced that the Christian Academy Middle School-ES Campus was the top school overall in the Leukemia & Lymphoma Societies "Pennies for Patients" fundraising program! They placed first out of 117 counties in Kentucky and 16 counties in Indiana with a total amount of $15,030.00! Sheila Gustafson, Campaign Coordinator for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society will be presenting a plaque to our middle school on Friday, May 27th at 9:30 a.m. in the English Station auditorium.
Thank you to everyone for your hard work in raising money to help fight cancer!
