Thanksgiving

After listening to songs and poems recited by kindergarten pilgrims and Native Americans, guest speaker, Clay Deveau spoke on Psalm 8. Mr. Deveau teaches in our Providence program in Mrs. Peterson’s first grade class.

“When I consider your heavens, the work of your fingers, the moon and the stars, which you have set in place, what are mere mortals that you are mindful of them, human beings that you care for them?” Psalm 8:3-4

Mr. D. encouraged the audience to think about God’s creation, the enormity of it all. When standing we occupy about 2 square feet of space in God’s vast creation of stars, moons, and galaxies. Yet this Creator wanted us even when we were sinners. He loved us enough to send his Son to be crucified for us.

As we head into Thanksgiving we should remember to be thankful for all He has done for us.
