The Final Weeks of the 2014-2015 School Year

I hope you enjoyed spring break and are ready for the final weeks of the school year. Be sure to mark your calendars with the important dates listed below so that you will not miss any special activities. Ending the 2014-2015 school year is bittersweet for me. I look forward to new opportunities and time with family, but I will dearly miss daily life at Rock Creek. I leave with an incredible peacefulness and confidence in your new leader and can’t wait for you to get to know her.

Congratulations Krystal Morrow, Rock Creek’s Principal for 2015-2016!
It is with a thankful heart I share how God answered our prayers for a new principal who will love students, parents, staff and Rock Creek as much as I do. Your new leader has a humble servant's heart, is an educational leader and an outstanding teacher. Mrs. Morrow is spiritually strong and radiates a love for Jesus. Our prayers of eager anticipation have been answered above and beyond. It is with great pleasure I welcome Mrs. Krystal Morrow as the new principal of Rock Creek.

Missing Mrs. Ragland?
I am sure you are! Mrs. Ragland had surgery and plans to return to school on May 13. Please pray for healing as she recuperates over the next few weeks. Thank you to Mrs. Sky Stitzinger for filling in as receptionist and Mrs. King for taking on additional responsibilities while Mrs. Ragland is out. Be sure to let them know you appreciate their efforts.

Remember - School Starts Earlier!
8:00 a.m. – Students are dismissed from the gym to classrooms. 8:05 a.m. – School begins! Students arriving after 8:05 a.m. will be counted tardy. You may be wondering why we started earlier instead of extending the school day. Since many families have students at both campuses, the decision to start earlier allows us to remain consistent with the English Station Campus schedule. It also allows us to maintain the coordination of the morning and afternoon bus services between campuses.

Chapel Time Change Starts this Week – 8:20-8:50 a.m.
As always, parents and family members are welcome to join us in worship each Wednesday morning.

Achievement Testing Week – April 20-25
Four Tips for Testing Week – and Every School Day!

  1. Get to bed on time.
  2. Have a good breakfast.
  3. Attend school every day. (We will not be able to do make up testing.)
  4. Get to school on time! (Arriving late can seriously affect testing. Students will not be admitted to the classroom after testing has begun.)
