Welcome, 2014!

What an unusual start to 2014 - thunder snow showers and bitterly cold days! We are diligently working to make sure your children remain bundled up in coats, hats and gloves when they leave their classrooms. Please read the note below regarding winter dress code, and know that we will return to adhering to the school dress code when the weather warms up.

Thank you, for taking time to read the following important information:

Winter Dress Code

Although we follow the Rock Creek dress code throughout the school year, drastic times call from a little grace and leniency. With this in mind, our staff has agreed on the following dress code adjustments during these bitter cold days:

  • Boot are acceptable (rain/snow boots, fur lined boots, etc.)
  • Send your child to school with tennis shoes as a backup
    • Tennis shoes are required for P.E.
  • Girls – navy blue, black or red tights/leggings are allowed and encouraged
  • Boys and Girls – don’t forget hats, gloves and winter coats. We want to keep everyone healthy and ready to learn!
